Latino Health Collective
The Latino Health Collective (LHC) is a collaborative network of city officials, policymakers, public health professionals, medical providers, community leaders, and representatives from more than 60 Latino-serving organizations working across the Philadelphia region.
The collective was formed in March 2020 when faculty from the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health began convening virtual meetings with representatives from the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and Latino-serving organizations across the health, social service, legal, and government sectors. Initially created to identify and respond to the most urgent needs of Latino communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, these meetings quickly grew into an ongoing coalition addressing broader social, economic, and health challenges affecting Philadelphia’s Latino community.
